The details of date viz. Miṉa śu. 5, Thursday, Rōhiṇi correspond to 1182 A.D., March 11. This records the gift of 150 kāśu of gold for a perpetual lamp to the deity in the Tirumaṟaikkāḍu temple, in Kuṉṟūr-nāḍu, a sub-division of Umbaḷa-nāḍu by Guṉa- malaippāḍi-uḍaiyāṉ Gaṅgaikoṇḍan Rājārājadēva alias Kottappichchōḻar. The Sivabrāh- maṇas received the money and undertook to supply one nāḻi of ghee by the standard measure vēdavaṇa-nāyakan, out of the interest on the endowed amount.

The details of date, viz. Makara śu 1 Wednesday, Tiruvōṇam correspond to 1250 A.D., January 5, Wednesday. This inscription records that the Sivabrāhmaṇas of the temple of Tirumaṟaikkāḍu- Uḍaiyār, in Umbaḷa-nāḍu, agreed to maintain a perpetual lamp in the temple, with the income from the 1/4 veli of land in Anapāyachaturvēdimaṅgalam after paying all the dues on the land granted by Paḷḷiyāḷvi, the elder sister of (akkai?) Tiruchchiṟṟambalamuḍaiyāṉ of Sāṭṭanguḍi in Vandāḻai-vēlūr-kūṟṟam, a sub-division of Rājēndrachōḻa-vaḷanāḍu. Śivallava (Śrivallabha-)ppeṟāṟu is mentioned as one of the boundaries of the gift land.

On palæographical considerations, the king may be identified with Rājārājā III. This inscription records the gift of jewels in gold and silver such as tiruneṟṟimālai (forehead plate) bāhu-valaiyam (armlet), tirukkaichchari (oracelet), tirumutaittaḍam (breast plate), tiruvāram (necklace), udarabandhanam (belt), tiruppiṟai (crescent), etc., to god Maṇavāḷa-nāyanār and the goddess Nāchchiyār of Tirumaṟaikkāḍu by Periyāṉ Selkalāṇḍāṇ of Nelvēli, a merchant of Kulōttuṅgaśōḻappāṭṭiṉam. Also gives the weight of gold and silver for these jewels.

This inscription records the gift of land as tirunāmāṭṭukkāṇi to a deity (name lost) whose image was set up by Maluvali Selvan, a mudali in the temple of Tirumaraik- kāḍuḍaiyār. The sabha of Kundavai-chaturvēdimaṅgalam, a brahmadeya in Idaiyala- māḍu of Rājēndra-solavaḷanāḍu made the land free from taxes such as antarāyam, kuḍimai, and nāṭṭu viniyogam.

நொந்தா விளக்கு ஒன்றுக்கு வைச்ச ஆடு தொண்ணூறு கொண்டு நிசதமுழக்கு நெய் திருமறைக்காடனால் அட்டுவோமானோம்

This records the gift of 90 sheep, by Māṉimāṟpayaṉ, son of Nallaman Śōḻavi..an of Marudūr in Kaimalai-nāḍu in Gaṅgapāḍi, for burning a perpetual lamp to the god Mahadēva at Tirumaṟaikkāḍu, with one uḻakku of ghee, daily by the measure called Tirumaṟaikkāḍaṉ. There is another damaged inscription along with this, which seems to record a provision of 1 tūṇi and 1 padakku of paddy to the same deity.

நிசதம் காண நாழியால் உழக்கு நெய்யட்டுவோமானோம்

This inscription begins with the praśasti Tirumagalpōla, etc. It records the gift of 90 sheep for a perpetual lamp, to be burnt with one ulakku of ghee, measured by the kāṇa-nāḻi, by Sikāruḍaiyāṉ Tiṭṭai Māṛan of Puliyūr-nāḍu to the god TirumaraikkāṭṭĀḷvār.

பெருநான்கெல்லையிலு மகப்பட்ட நிலம் வேலி 10 மிகுதி குறைவுள்ளடங்க விற்று இந்நிலத்தால்

This begins with the praśasti commencing with “Tirumagal pōla” etc. This records the gift of 10 veli of land by purchase from the sabhā of [Ku]dikai- chaturvēdimaṅgalam alias Iṟaivānmaṅgalam for 20 kasa by Viliyur-uḍaiyāṉ Achchan Pirammādamallan, a merchant of periyavaigāḍi (big bazaar) at Cañjāvūr for performing the pitha puja and other rituals to the deity Tirumaṟaikkāḍ-uḍaiyār for the merit of Tayan Achchan. Achchan Tayan, his own elder brother and his younger brothers. The members of the sabhā of Iraivānmaṅgalanı made the 10 vēli of land free of taxes like iṟai, echchōṟu, veṭṭivediṉai and others collected by the king, in lieu of 10 kāśu, the remainder being the cost of land.

This records the gift of 90 sheep for a perpetual lamp to the deity Tirumaṟaikkāṭṭu Mahadēva , by Nāraṇaṉ Sāṭṭan, a veḷḷāḷa of Eyinṉaṉūr.

இக்காசேழுங் கொண்டு இதன் பலிசையால் நிசதம் கரைக்கொள்ள இருபலசர்க்கரைக்கு திங்கள் ஒரக்கமாக ஆண்டு பன்னிரண்டக்கம்

This records the gift of 7 kāśu by Viṟaikuḍi-kilavan Vēḷāṉ Nārāyaṇan alias Sembiyaṉ Kilkārai Vēḷāṉ, of Muttūṟṟu-kūṟṟam, in pāṇḍi-nāḍu, for offering daily 2 palams of sarkkarai (country sugar) out of 12 akkam accruing as interest on the endowed amount, to the god Tirumaṟaikkāḍ-uḍaiyār.

This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikoṇḍa Parakēsari. It records the gift of 60 kaḻañju of gold to god Mahadēva of Tirumaṟaikkāḍu, a perunDēvadāna in Umbaḷa-nāḍu for the maintenance (jivitam) of one Brāhmaṇa well versed in the vēdas and archchanāvidhi serving the god during the 3 sandhis, by Va.san De[var]. Kaḍamba n of Maṇanilainallur, a brahmadēya in Kalakkuḍi-nāḍu in pāṇḍi- nāḍu. The sābha of Narukaḍambidu-chchaturvēdimaṅgalam a mēṟṟuni (?) brahma- deya in the same nāḍu, received the amount and agreed to provide paddy for the purpose, as interest on the amount endowed.

This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikoṇḍa Parakēsari. It records the endowment of 90 sheep for a sporget Lean to god Mahadēva in Tirumaṟaikkāḍu, a perunDēvadāna in Umbaḷa-nāḍu by Marndūruḍaiyāṉ Aruṇidi Kaliyan of Marudūr in Purangarambai-nāḍu, an officer under the king. The measure Tirumaṟaikkāḍaṉ is mentioned.

திருமறைக்காடனால் நிசதம் உரிய் நெய்யட்டக் கடவோமானோம்

This inscription records the gift of 180 sheep by Eḻuvaṉ Vāḍukaṉ, for burning two perpetual lamps to the deity Tirumaṟaikkāṭṭu-Mahadēva , with one uri of ghee daily by the measure called Tirumaṟaikkāḍaṉ.

The details of date, viz., Rishabha, śu. 11, Monday, Uttiram, regularly correspond to 1262 A.D., May 1. This records the gift of 24 vēli, 6 mā, and 3 kani of land by Nārāyaṇan of Paḍappai in Malaimaṇḍalam for meeting the expenses for the conduct of a service called Tiruvikkiraman-sandhi on two occasions and for burning three perpetual lamps to the deity Tirumaṟaikkāḍu Uḍaiyār.

This records the gift of 180 sheep by Ayyāṟan Ambalāṭṭaḍi of Perumbuliyūr and Kalappala Taṉṉichchai, the headman of Chiriñar in Iḍaiyala-nāḍu for burning two perpetual lamps with one uṟi of ghee daily by the kēraļāntakaṉ-nāḻi, in the shrine called Keralāntaka erected by the donor Ambalāṭṭaḍi for Bhuvaṉivitankar of Tirumaṟaikkāḍu.

This inscription records the gift of 180 sheep by Ilaiyavañchāṭṭan of Talaikkāṇam and Kāḍaṉchāṭṭan of Kuḍapulam for burning two perpetual lamps to the deity Tiru- maṟaikkāṭṭu-Madēva , with one uṟi of ghee daily by the measure called Tirumaraikkāḍaṉ.

ஆக நிலம் இரண்டரையெ மாகாணியும் இன்நிலங்களால் வருவன எப்பையிற்பட்டனவுமுழ்ப்பட

The details of date, viz.. Makara ba...., Wednesday, Tiruvōṇam are irregular. This records the gift of 2 vēli and māgāṇi of land, originally purchased partly from Kuṇamalaippāḍi uḍaiyāṉ .... Pallavadaraiyār and partly from Nāgāṇḍān of Anapāya-chaturvēdimaṅgalam in Idaiyala-nāḍu in Rājēndraśōḻa-vaḷanāḍu by Tiru- maṟaikkāḍuḍaiyāṉ Karpagappēṟuman of Kodumalur, who owned lands in Vayalur Palli, in Kuṉṟūr-nāḍu, as tirunāmāṭṭukkāṇi to the god Tirumaṟaikkāḍu-uḍaiyār.

The details of date, viz, Makara ba. 15, Monday, Pūśam are irregular. This records the gift of 6 mākkāṇi land in Vikramaśōḻan Kaḍambūr, as tiruvilak- kuppūram, by Araiyaṉ Uyyavandāṉ, of Kāṉāṭṭūr, for burning a perpetual lamp to the deity Tirumaṟaikkāḍu-uḍaiyār, in Umbaḷa-nāḍu. The gift-land was purchased from Tunaiyirundāḷ Sāni, by the donor.
