Precision and proportion of various active components are of central importance in medicinal preparation. Similarly, the characterisation of the body and its vital functions often relies on various numerical measures. Our collection comprise of medical texts pertaining to different schools, such as Ayurveda and Siddha. The extent to which computational techniques are employed in these different medicinal systems, and their role in constituting medicinal practices, needs to be studied.
