Abstract: On palæographical considerations, the king may be identified with Rājārājā III. This inscription records the gift of jewels in gold and silver such as tiruneṟṟimālai (forehead plate) bāhu-valaiyam (armlet), tirukkaichchari (oracelet), tirumutaittaḍam (breast plate), tiruvāram (necklace), udarabandhanam (belt), tiruppiṟai (crescent), etc., to god Maṇavāḷa-nāyanār and the goddess Nāchchiyār of Tirumaṟaikkāḍu by Periyāṉ Selkalāṇḍāṇ of Nelvēli, a merchant of Kulōttuṅgaśōḻappāṭṭiṉam. Also gives the weight of gold and silver for these jewels.
