Abstract: In characters of the 12th century A.D. This inscription registers a gift of one thousand kaju by Kurukatti-uḍaiyāṉ Tirumākaḷam-uḍaiyāṉ Sambandan alias Majanapiriyan, the accountant of the village (ur-kanakku) Kulottungachōḻachaturvedimaṅgalam in Purankarambai-nāḍu, for burning a twilight lamp.

குருகத்திஉடையான் திருமாகா-
ள(ம்)முடையான் சம்பந்தனான மா-
ஜந பிரியன் சந்திவிளக்குக்கு
உபயமாக ௨௰ தாவது நாள் நூற்-
று எழுபத்துஎட்டிநால் ஓடுக்கி -
ன காசு ஆயிரம் ௳
